We are a club offering support for stay-at-home mothers and their children who reside in the Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks, CA area. We offer monthly activities, playgroups and community events. Thank you for visiting.

Help Needed!

We need help in the following positions. Please check back often as positions are always changing as the schedules and lives of our volunteering Moms change:

Events Coordinator (partner with a friend or do it alone to plan some fun events for all ages of of club monthly. Its really fun and not too hard) - contact Susan at 981-1281

Speaker (Plans guest speakers for our monthly socials) - contact Susan at 981-1281

Meeting Location Researcher (this is a P/T position to help our club find a new and better meeting location for our monthly socials) - contact Susan at 981-1281.

This is an Email Group only for members of our chapter (past or present). It is a great way to share experiences, advice and ask questions to other local Moms in our club when you need support or just want to share. We have 21 Moms signed up so far! We can share and post pictures to the Group, participate in polls (please go and participate in our current one) and can even list events on an online calendar. To participate in all what the group has to offer you need to sign up for a Yahoo ID (it's just a way to "log in" to the site) but to receive the posts and reply to the list, you don't have to - you can join without the yahoo ID. This will be a great addition to our already growing website and a faster, easier way for us to share with other Moms or ask questions. Please stop by and sign up! (The volume on the list is VERY low so don't worry about your mailbox being filled up with tons of posts - unless we get very inspired, that will not likely happen). MOMS Club Adopt-A-Family

As our chapter's service project for the community, our chapter has "adopted" a family to give financial and other support to. Over the Holidays, our chapter raised an unprecedented nearly $900 for this family and collected over 20 bags of clothing, food, cleaners and household items! This family lost their father a week before Thanksgiving and the Mother and Two children are struggling to make ends meet while getting very little public aid. Thank you to the members who have already donated. If you haven't donated yet or would like to continue to offer your support, we are sponsoring this family through June as a way to ease them into the transition of being without their husband and father. You may contact Dawn at ddkmangan@earthlink.net or Joan at WLKINSON@AOL.com to arrange a pick up or drop off of your donation or you may make a cash contribution and mail it to Joan (make check payable to "MOMS Club")
