I am a 17year old Puerto Rican who loves the world of Graphic Communications. My mother went to New York City Tech and got her associates in Graphic Communications and worked designing the cover for J.C Penny. When I was a kid I used to always like looking at her drawings, paintings, and layouts. I think I knew what I wanted to do since then. Looking at advertisements in magazines, billboards, and on the T.V made me want to learn how to make them (the advertisements). Now that I’m a little older I like to try and make my own advertisements for products. I think I could make it my job making advertisements for all kind of products.
I would like to attend F.I.T. because it does not only have one major I could be interested in. They have several. Lets say I take up advertisements and find that it doesn’t interest me anymore, I have other options including fashion buying and merchandising, Advertising design major, and fashion design major that could possibly interest me. I also like the fact that it’s a technical school which means you will spend a lot of your time learning and applying the trade you are learning and won’t take classes that don’t comply with what my major is. I also like F.I.T. because it has a good reputation and people always tell me that it is a good school.
In conclusion I would really like to attend F.I.T. and I feel that I would work hard. I will always put my best effort into my work.
