These are some observations by me and Mary Beth (aka Twiggy Townsend). I believe most of them are pretty original, but ya know, everyone's bound to see all this stuff sooner or later. :)

*******

*Those pictures in the prologue look authentic c.1899.
*Who else loves that piano music?
*That dude at the press is really grimy (but hey, what else do you expect of the working children of the 19th century?).
*Hey, one of those newsies has cucumber slices on his eyes.
*Skittery looks really good in the morning.
*Snitch looks so precious sucking his thumb!
*Mush looks very peaceful.
*Itey looks...scared...of Snitch's foot (but I guess I would be too. It's scary to wake up with a foot in your face).
*Jack's hair is really greasy. They could put him out in the sun and make french fries with all that grease.
*I love how Race smacks Snipeshooter's forehead.
*Check out Blink's facial expression when Specs sings, "Since when did you become me mudda?"
*When Mush is laughing, listen real close and you can hear him go, "Hoo!"
*Watch Snitch's face right after he blows his nose into that towel.
*Don't ya just love how Race combs his hair?
*Watch Mush's face when Race elbows him and then sings, "Try Central Park, it's guaranteed." Then watch him when Jack throws the shaving cream at him.
*Now, I know I'm not the only one who noticed that Mush's pants are halfway down along with the fact that he's got blue undies.
*Race's face looks funny when he sings, "Pass da towel!"
*Jake runs into a bathroom stall with his overalls down around his ankles.
*Hmm...Kloppman's doing a head count.
*I think that redheaded kid has a temper.
*That dude on the barrel kicks Mush in the rear.
*Hey...Crutchy's doing "the pump"!
*Goodness gracious, that's a lot of lint! Lemme take a dust buster to them nuns!
*Snitch is standing with his feet really far apart.
*Don't ya just love the "two for a penny" dance?
*Five words: "We need a good assassination!"
*That shoulder roll is really cool.
*Race's face is so cute when he's sniffing the air.
*Oscar is really cute for a scabber.
*"It's not good to do dat. Not healthy." - I love that!
*Don't ya just want to stand around and laugh with these guys?
*When David goes, "What do you think you're doing?", watch Snitch in the background. He's like waving his arm above his head in a circle really slowly.
*Watch those two guys who are up on the statue on the right side.
*See all those businessmen in black who just kinda walk on screen out of nowhere? Reminds me a bit of "City of Angels"...
*Morris looks really dorky when he's trying to hit Jack.
*I love how Jack goes, "You're too kind to me, Race. You're too kind."
*Weasel needs to shave. Badly.
*Listen to how Crutchy laughs. Hehe!
*What does Jack mean when he says that "Morris can't count to twenty with his shoes on"?
*Wow, twenty papes looks the same as fifty. Movie magic!
*Jack just kinda dumps all his papes on Mush.
*Itey looks...possessed...in that one scene where Jack and David are negotiating the split. Is he...licking his suspenders?
*What's up with the wooden sword???
*Gotta love how Specs screams, "Baby born wit' three heads!"
*Jonathan is odd...
*That guy getting beat up in the boxing match looks like he's in a lot of pain, yet he keeps going and going...just like the Energizer bunny.
*Check out those old guys in the audience.
*Poor ref.
*Snyder is a psychopath. I mean, c'mon, just look at the man!
*Right after David goes, "I'm not running any further!", watch how he walks through that stage door. He looks a bit perturbed.
*I love how Jack says "food".
*Ann-Margret was like 51 years old! Talk about the Fountain of Youth...sheesh...
*How does Les fall asleep? Honestly!
*Those drinking glasses the Jacobs have are groovy.
*Watch Jack's facial expression right after he says, "Lovenest, or nude..."
*It's cool-looking how Jack kinda flies out into that alley during "Santa Fe".
*I love that little "Ha!" thing he does during his little dance solo there.
*That horse looks possessed when Jack's singing the part, "Santa Fe, are you there?..."
*Look at that little dance Pulitzer does. Odd. Very odd.
*Watch Oscar back behind Blink when he's talking about the jack-up. Then, rewind it and watch Mush. He looks so sad!
*Mush's vest is cool.
*Dude, check out Jake's calf muscles.
*It looks like David's trying to kill Les right after he yells, "Strike!"
*Can't you just imagine Greely's statue just jumping up and singing and dancing with the newsies during "The World Will Know"?
*Check out Crutchy's "war face". Hee hee.
*I love how Jack enunciates "ambassadors".
*It's funny how Boots just yells, "Hey, WE ain't scared o' Brooklyn!"
*Isn't it funny how Jack says "hoity-toity"?
*Yelling off that bridge looks like fun.
*That Celtic-style Brooklyn music rocks. Wonder why it didn't end up on the soundtrack?
*Gotta love how Spot says "little boids".
*Gabe's eyes are like, translucent. Or something.
*I love those facial expressions.
*Notice that David takes on a bit of an accent when he's talking to Spot.
*That little Riverdance thing during "Seize the Day" is cool!
*Check out Crutchy. He's doing the funky chicken!
*Mush looks like he's about to fall when they're throwing him up in the air.
*It looks fun to smoosh your face up against some glass and make faces at the Delanceys.
*Crutchy looks possessed when he's ripping up those papers.
*Why in the name of pink elephants doesn't Denton help Crutchy???
*Wonder what's up with the nuns in the carriage at the Refuge?
*Five words: "Heya, Dave, how ya doin'?" LOL.
*When Snyder's walking through Crutchy's room with that stick, it brings to mind a quote from "Major Payne": "I was hungry for blood. I was hungry for killin'. [Heck], I was just plain hungry."
*During the dancing segment of the "Seize the Day" chorale, it seems like somebody out there's always making some kind of noise.
*That policeman who says, "Move along mister."...oy.
*Brooklyn!
*Slingshots!
*Spot!
*Delayed reaction when Race kicked ya, pal. VERY delayed. Wait, run that back and put it in slow-mo. Heeheehee. *evil grin*
*Watch how Blink punches. Hee hee. Put that in slow-mo, too.
*I love how Spot licks his hand instead of spitting in it.
*Sliding down that ramp looks like fun.
*Spot really wants to see his "picha".
*Skittery is cute, even if he IS in a bad mood.
*Mush is really dreaming of those new shoes. Just look at that face!
*I love Race's tapdance!
*Snitch really wants to see that newspaper.
*During the "dead or dreamin'" scene, watch the far left of the screen. You can see Spot's hands kinda flailing around right before he jumps down off that table.
*That table tapdance rocks!
*I like that move Specs and Blink do when they put their hands behind their heads.
*Spot looks really funny standing back there on that table bouncing around and swinging his hair.
*Denton's facial expression cracks me up when they're doing the kneeslap routine.
*Gotta love how Mush jumps up on that table.
*When they're getting their cokes and talking about holding a rally, watch Mush and Blink. Looks like Mush is saying something really funny back there, 'cause Blink keeps laughing.
*Snyder stuffs that napkin up his sleeve...why?
*So, Crutchy's brain has a mind of its own? Truth be told.
*Check out that tortured facial expression. Poor Crutchy.
*I love Race's expression when he says that Jack "put an egg in his shoe and beat it".
*Kloppman is undoubtedly cool...for an old guy.
*Who in New York City sleeps with their window wide open???
*Jack must have gotten bored up there on the roof...he fights with socks AND steals a tomato!
*Notice how the mayor echoes the cheif of police and Pulitzer: "Legal cause!" "Escaped criminal."
*I love how Spot bobs his head.
*Check out Spot's pinkys when he goes, "They're gonna be playin' wit' MY hands!"
*I love how Blink goes, "Tell 'em, Jack!"
*I love how Mush goes, "All right!"
*I crack up watching Race screaming, "Medda! Medda!"
*If you watch really closely, Race is standing beside Medda, pointing, grinning, and sticking his tounge out. Son, she's way too old for you.
*I love how Spot, Mush, Blink, and Snitch look during that whole court scene. Watch Race's face especially.
*Denton's got a really funky bow tie. Actually, all his bowties are funky.
*Every time I watch that scene where Denton says he got re-assigned, I get this mental image of David hissing at him. ("Hold me back!")
*It's so cute how Mush goes, "Where they takin' 'im, Dave?" He's precious!
*David Jacobs: Secret Agent Newsy.
*Why does Pulitzer keep screaming at Jack to shut up? Maybe those voices are talking to him again...
*Don't you just wanna cut off Pulitzer's finger when he keeps poking Jack?
*What exactly DID Crutchy do to Snyder's sourkraut?
*You just wanna give Spot a hug when he goes, "Tell me I'm seein' things..."
*Poor Mush. You just wanna give him a hug.
*I love how Spot starts screaming, "C'mere, ya dirty, rotten scabba! I moida ya!"
*You just wanna hug all those poor guys! They look so sad!
*Whenever that whole group of people comes in at the end, watch Mush's face. He's so happy!
*When Jack leaves, I always feel so sorry for Les.
*When Jack kisses Sarah, watch Race's face. Then, rewind it three more times and watch Mush, Blink, and Snitch. Hee hee.
*Hmm...could Spot not dance? When he's riding out in the carriage, Jack yells, "Go back to Brooklyn!"
*Watch Mush in the background right before his group comes up to dance. He's running around messing with everybody.
*The ending is so cute with that little kid!
