Accomplishments and responsibilities:  

• Work with senior management in developing a $US200 heat and power plant's expansion and reconstruction project.  Develop proprietary financial models in Excel for review by the company's investors and creditors. Prepare project development information for a bank;

• Developed proprietary Excel-based financial model for valuation of power plant located in Europe;

• Evaluate and oversee all aspects of the operational and financial performance of the heat and power plant located in Europe, including monitoring financial and operating performance and analysis of creditors and debtors;

• Worked closely with company's CEO and CFO on developing annual budget. Analyzed actual results and compared them to the budgeted targets on quarter and annual basis;

• Screen investment opportunities in power generating industry.

August  - December 2001

UEC, Toronto, ON, Canada - a private equity boutique company which had 5 investments in Eastern Europe. In 2002 the reverse takeover of UEC by Softchoice took place on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Accomplishments and responsibilities:  

• Investigated, generated and negotiated new projects and ventures for the company;

• Negotiated US$3.5 mil. investment in and conducted due diligence of fast-food company, located in Moscow, Russia;

• Negotiated US$ 1 million investment in and conducted due diligence of software development company;

• Developed company presentational materials, and circulated them among potential investee companies.

• Supervised portfolio of six companies consisting of $14.5 million investment in equity and debt;

• Led a successful restructuring of bankrupt ice-cream producing company with aggregate investment of $4.5 million in debt and equity. Managed restructuring of agricultural company;  

• Worked closely with portfolio companies' CEOs and CFOs on developing and analyzing all the financial and operational issues of the companies. Coached portfolio companies' personnel in drafting annual budgets, marketing plans, sales and cash flow forecasts;

• Identified prospective investments, made valuations and conducted due diligence on Ukrainian companies in the food processing, beverages, construction materials, and automotive parts industries;

• Prepared portfolio PowerPoint-based presentations and delivered them to the Fund's Board of Directors on annual basis;  

• Negotiated a $1.4 million pre-export loan with a bank for a portfolio company.
