TURUNC

Turunc is a Turkish village paradise surrounded by mountains,pine forests
leading to its natural beauty. It lies 25km from Marmaras which offers
a lively town centre for shopping and a vibrant nightlife. Turunce nightlife
is low key offering an assortment of bars and restaurants.
Turunc is a settlement that began in the Hellenistic age with settlers
earning their living from mountain herbs and bee keping and this continues
with some families today producing delicious pine honey.
The bay has a wonderful natural beauty and is surrounded by pine forests
mountains and the Mediterranean sea.
The village lies 23km south of Marmaris a vibrant town for anyone who
is looking for shops numerous restaurants and a busy nightlife Access
to this from Turunc can be made by road through the mountains or the river
bus that runs every half an hour from Turunc.
Although the village of Turunc is much more relaxed and tranquil it still
offers many water sport activities and is a wonderful place to relax at
the many cafes and restaurants overlooking the beautiful blue Mediterranean As with all
villages it has a very relaxed atmosphere and the people are so friendly
it is impossible to not feel welcomed and at home. For this reason visitors
return year after year to this beautiful part of Turkey.
Turunc is on a peninsular commonly named Bozburun. The village of Bozburun
is renowned world wide for it’s yacht building. Hiring a car from
the local agent will enable you to explore the riches of the peninsular
including idyllic bays, coves historical sights and spectacular views
over the Mediterranean.
