Dear brothers and sisters,
Thank God in April there
will be a Chinese evangelistic meeting in Concordia University. Room H-110 will
be used, which can seat 700 people! Now the brothers and sisters in
Concordia Chinese Christian Fellowship (CCCF) are working hard to prepare for
the meeting. As each of us already has tons of study or work to do, we
feel weak and helpless in face of such a big task. Please pray for us that God
will give us strength to do His work well.
We do believe that God's
word needs to be heard in Concordia, where so many Chinese are studying
hard for success. Of course success is good, but people tend to think,
"life is a game and the guy who own most toys win." They don't
know that everyone will face God one day and God is the final judge of
everything.
Then, what can we do
to please God? The following verses in 2 Timothy 2:20-22 may help:
20In a large house there are articles
not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble
purposes and some for ignoble. 21If a man cleanses himself from the
latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the
Master and prepared to do any good work.
22Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness,
faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure
heart.
(from New International
Version)
While everyone of us is
busy working for a living, we should remind ourselves that man does not
live on bread alone. God want us to be clean and holy, pursue
righteousness, faith, love, and peace. It is why He created us in the first
place, right?
May the love of God be with
you,
Haiying
P.S: The evangelistic
meeting is in the evening of Friday, April 4, please mark your calendar
and bring your friends to the meeting. The location is Concordia
University Hall Building H-110. Dr. Nie Shuquan will be the speaker.
