This is a picture of Joan Baez. It is derived from a photograph from her album "Play me Backwards". Many people tell me they don't see a women's face in this drawing. I've drawn her face from the side, a profile. The lower part of the drawing is her hand. You'll notice that another picture I made, one of the Dylan pictures, is similar in style and form to this picture. Joan Baez, though a great artist in her own right, will for me always be connected to Bob Dylan as both his former girlfriend and artistic partner.
