My beloved dragon friend turned 40 on December 23, 2003.
I was unable to be there unfortunately... and I would have given my eye teeth to have been a fly on the wall that day.
Our kids decided that such an important birthday didn't deserve to go unnoticed.. and rightly so I might add.
So.. being the absolute angels they are... they took it upon themselves to declare it to all around..
Jan is in fact 40 this day.
Now I can't take any credit in what they did.. all I can truthfully say is that I did not help them obtain any pictures of her.
You see I valued my life much too much for that.. lol.
They hung a huge sign for her to see as she drove home..
Leaflets on whatever they could stick them on bearing her picture and age..
And of course the obligatory balloons and streamers.
While I don't think Jan was particulary amused at all the attention..
I'm sure she knew everyone's hearts were in the right places..
Many happy returns dragon..
May you have many many many more birthdays..
And may this be the last we celebrate of yours apart..
