Oh boy what a day we had. We met our group at 8:00 AM and headed to the Register Centre of Guangdong Province for adoption registration. Addi looked so cute in her big white headband with a bow (daddy hates those headbands). She was just as cute as can be for her big adoption day. Tyler, Addison and mom met before the adoption register and answered some questions. Then she announced that Addison was now a Mooney. Of course I was crying like a baby. We went back to the waiting room to wait for the notary to show up. Out of no where Addison decided to give back her breakfast. She puked all over me, and her brand new baby carrier. We went into the restroom to change her(mommy was smart and brought extra clothes). Robin's husband Joe was kind enough to wash out all of Addi's pukey clothes and the carrier in the bathroom sink. What a nice guy! About a half hour went by and we were still waiting for the notary to show up. Addi got really fussy and I felt a little rumble in her diaper. I of course forgot a changing pad, but one of my sweet travel mates offered hers. What little did I know. When I took off Addison's pants she was quite messy...yep, poop all over. And all over my sweet travelmates new changing pad. It gets better. As I am cleaning Addi up, poop started squirting everywhere. This was truly a first for me. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So now I had to go in and have my very important meeting with the notary with puke on my pants, poop on my shirt and my daughter had no pants on because I had no more clothes for her..she .only had a shirt on. Our meeting went well and the notary was very sweet and actually said he admired me(I don't think he noticed the poop on my shirt). I had to sit at the back of the bus on the way to the police station (our next stop of the day) I think I was smelly.We are Finally back in our room. We are fortunate to have a doctor in our group. Doctor Bob mixed Addison's antibiotics for me and gave me instructions on how many times a day to give her the meds. Addi doesn't feel very well. Poor little thing has a very bad cough, runny nose. and Diarrhea that will only get worse with the antibiotics.Her diaper rash looks a bit better today. She gags when I try to give her any baby food. She only wants the bottle with cereal in it and she likes her formula hot! I think she weighs about 12 lbs, maybe 13 lbs. She is very tiny.
I am very tired tonight and miss my family. Addison is so beautiful and very happy. She has a bit of a temper so she will fit into the Mooney household nicely. Addison thinks Tyler is pretty funny and Tyler adores her. He can't stop poking her.
Not many pictures today we were a bit busy. I plan to take some pictures of the White Swan tomorrow. This is a beautiful hotel.
Livi, mommy loves you and will be home soon...I promise when I get home to take you to Barnes and Noble and let you buy as many books as you want! |
