No pictures today ; ( Sorry. Tyler and I spent the morning packing our suitcases. I haven't felt very good today. I feel very dizzy for some reason. We stayed in the hotel room until it was time to meet our group downstairs. We met at 2:45 PM at the red couch. We all boarded a bus for the US Consulate. We got Addison's Visa and she is ready to travel YEAH!!!!!! There was a small ceremony for all the babies (I think there must of been about 80 babies total). It was short and sweet. Then we loaded back on the bus and headed back to the hotel. We met our group tonight for a farewell dinner. The babies were all very tired and a bit cranky. Dinner was short to say the least. Tyler and I are all packed and ready to head out tomorrow morning. We leave early for Hong Kong. We will spend the night in Hong Kong and board the plane for home on Saturday at around 1:00 PM Leaving China is very bittersweet. I'm very ready to come home but I feel sad leaving my daughters birth country. I will always have a piece of China in my heart. The people of China have been very kind. I leave here with such a different outlook on life. When you walk the streets of China you don't see children playing with their gameboy's or carrying around iPods. The children are lucky to have a toy of any kind, but they are happy and laughing. The people here don't have washing machines and dryers. No microwaves or air conditioners. They are lucky to have a roof over their heads. Tyler and I watched the school children during what looked like a PE class. They were having so much fun just running relay races. What happy children. I know that the Mooney family is very blessed. We have an incredible life and sometimes I think we take it for granted. I hope to some day bring Addison back here. I want her to know where she came from and what lovely people the Chinese are. This has been an incredible journey. I would like to take this time to thank our family and friends for your support and for coming along with us on our journey. I can't wait for you all to meet our little China Doll, she is so beautiful! I really enjoyed reading all the email, especially on those days that I was homesick. Thank you to Lifelink for allowing us to adopt once again. Our guides in China, Echo, Mandy and Mary are AWESOME and I will truly miss them. My travel mates are incredible and we plan to keep the girls together through out the years. Thank you to Vernon Hills High School for allowing Tyler to take the time from school to come along with mom. I think this has been a chance of a lifetime and I feel he will walk away with such a different outlook on life. Thank you for all your support! Thank you to my husband for taking such great care of the kids and the house while I was gone. Thank you to my kids for helping dad with Livi and the house. I can't wait for you to meet Miss Addison, she will melt your heart. Good night one last time from Guangzhou. |
