Tyler and I fell asleep last night at 7:30 PM. At 4:30 AM this morning we were both wide awake and ready for breakfast. Unfortunately the restaurant was'nt ready for us. We headed to the hotel buffet breakfast at 6:00AM and had a $50.00 meal. Tyler made sure to get our money's worth. I am so afraid to eat anything that I only had yogurt, toast and a banana. We met our travel mates at 9:15 AM and went in search of RMB (Chinese money). We spent 3 hours looking for a bank who would exchange our US dollars into RMB. Finally we gave up and decided we would take care of it in Guangzhou tomorrow. We were able to exchange our US dollars into HK dollars and since we're in Hong Kong that's all we really needed for right now. We took the ferry to Hong Kong Island and then we took a tram to The Peak. It was so beautiful up there. We were so high up that my ears popped on the way up the steep hill. You can see all of Hong Kong from the top of The Peak. There is a small mall at The Peak where we ate lunch. Tyler had spring rolls, steamed rice and he tried fish balls (don't ask). I on the other hand had McDonalds french fries. I did order a Big Mac but it just didn't taste right so I just ate the fries. We had a wonderful day today and really enjoyed sightseeing around Hong Kong. Hong Kong is very cosmopolitan. The stores are very upscale and most things are very expensive. The people of Hong Kong are very friendly. Tonight we are meeting up with our group and heading out to the light show. I think Tyler and I will head to bed early tonight, we are pooped! Tomorow is the day we meet Addison. It still feels like a dream. I can't wait to have her in my arms. We leave Hong Kong tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM and we are headed to the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou. I will post pictures of Addison tomorrow as soon as I can.
Ken, Chris, Justin, Kenny and Livi I miss you very much.I hope you are all behaving for dad. Livi, only 11 more nights and mommy will be home to tuck you in, I love you Livi and miss you very much.
