Xenogears

Ahhh, I finally realized that it was high time that I got up off my ass and started to work on this page. Especially since Xenogears is one of my favorite RPGs. Which is saying a lot cuz I love my RPGs. Even though the game the depressed the hell out of me when I got to the second disc. Talk about major psychological problems. "I'm going to save the world by releasing everyone's limiter.......wait, everyone turned into monsters......ooops."
Even though I pretty much cried through the majority of the storyline on Disc 2, I love this game and I have lots of passion for it.

I especially love Billy, Elly, and Emerelda. Three great characters in certain ways. First of all, I like guns. So, naturally I couldn't resist the young Solarian toting a shotgun, pistol, and ether gun. Mmm, Billy was good. And I loved his whole storyline. Especially the little bit about him selling himself for like 3000G to make some money for him and his sister Primera. Now any Xenogears player knows that coming across money in that game is like trying to find lint on a 300 pound woman. It just doesn't come as easily to you as it does in other games. So I was all for Billy selling his chastity for 3000G. Kinda mad he didn't actually. I mean think about it, if he would have sold himself like 10-20 times, I could have had another ether doubler. Hell, he could have bought his own ether doubler. But I must admit, that I usually think about whoring out my characters for money. I mean damn, I think that some characters in RPGs are suited for it. Especially that little bitch Rinoa in FFVIII.....

Oh yeah, I like Elly and Emerelda too. Mainly for magic purposes. However Elly was too damned unreliable at times. Messing up spells. And fighting with her in physical combat was quite the chore. She was really slow, which surprised me, considering how light she was. Guess she has slow reflexes or something. And being primarily a spell caster, she was a weak fighter. Now Ellyham in a gear, different story. Elly ruled my party when she was in Vierge. When she said jump, everyone jumped, including that old guy in the wheelchair who stays in that nursing home not too far away from where you live.....you know the one. ;) Elly's AERODs were extremely cool. More so when she was souped up with an ether doubler, couple of power magics- not too many, wanna keep her fast- a E Circuit, a couple of ether stones-preferable large. Hmmm, its quite disturbing that I list this stuff off the top of my head, even though I haven't played X in about 6 months......

When Elly left my party, I thought I was gonna miss her like hell. That's why they dumped Emerelda on ya earlier in the game. When El leaves, you get Em- someone who can do reasonable damage physically (however at that point in the game, you're relying on gear combat), and reliable magic. And she has a fast ass gear. And Crescens looks damn sweet with the wings and the sleek design. If ya can't tell, I hate slow characters. I prefer speed over power most of the time. (Although I suffer at times because of this....) Although Em didn't have the AERODS that could do 9999 points of damage when souped up, she handled her business and quite well actually.
