Author’s notes and warnings: Wai! Here I am again, another Chichiri/Tasuki story. I tried my hands at GW but I think I’ll stick to FY for now. Although I love the GW boys, I’m not as comfortable writing GW stories and took months to complete the first chapter of ‘Irreplaceable’. Pathetic, huh?
Anyways, as I’ve mention, this monk & bandit fic will be set within ‘Gravitation’ background. It’s not crucial that you know Gravitation since I’m only using it as a setting and will not go too deeply into it’s characters. From the feedback I received, I gathered that many of my reviewers do not know ‘Gravitation’. So the first chapter will just explain a little about ‘Gravitation’ so that you’ll know what’s going on and who’s who…(I recommend Gravitation highly BTW)
Because many of you may not be familiar with the names of new characters from ‘Gravitation’, I won’t give our bishounens new names. This way you won’t have to try to remember more than necessary.
Additional warning: Lemon ahead…I don’t know when yet, but it’s there. It will also be pretty rough.
Chichiri will be somewhat OOC, he’s much darker, not evil per se, just real…closed up and cold…I don’t know, think ‘insensitive jerk’. (He appears to be anyway) Tasuki will also like girls. Yes, I said he will like girls…but that’s before he meets Chichiri, ne?
I’m not sure which chapter yet but I need to further warn you that there will be mentioning of rape and attempted rape. If you do not care for any of the above mentioned, please feel free to leave. I do encourage you to stay; you might like it. ~.~

Songs of the Heart– Background Information

My primary exposure to Gravitation would be the entire TV series on my VCD (I think that’s what it’s called), which I got from Internet shopping. No English language just English sub-title, (which would have been great since I prefer subtitle anyways) had the translation made sense. The names were all wrong and many of the translation were totally wacky. I had to go to fan sites to help my understanding. After that, the weird translation really didn’t matter. The music is terrific and there are lots of funny parts.
The story is centered around two males; Eiri Yuki and Shuuichi Shindoh. Backdrop is the music industry where Shuuichi aspires to have his band be the number one rock band in Japan.
There are more characters but I’m not using them so I’m not putting them here.
Sooo…if you are familiar with Gravitation and I’ve made a boo boo somewhere, please be kind enough to let me know.
Oh, and you know how there are always different versions of the spelling for the names? Well, I like these…hope you do too. If not…well…um…deal with it…?
Gravitation characters:
Eiri Yuki – About 22 years old. Tall, blond, drop-dead gorgeous. He’s a popular romance novelist and somewhat of a jerk, though his rough past may have something to do with it. (Um…think WK’s Ran Fujimiya with an attitude…er make that MORE attitude. Or Saito Hajimi…from Rurouni Kenshin) He’s in love with Shuuichi Shindo though by the way he treated Shuuichi, you couldn’t really tell. (A lot like the way Vegeta treats Bulma…) <lead character>
Shuuichi Shindoh – About 19 years old. Short, pink-hair, really kawaii, genki. Think male version of Miaka. He’s the lead singer of a three-member rock band named ‘Bad Luck’. He’s in love with Yuki. They are living together. (Seki-sama is the Seiryuu…same as Chiri…) <lead character>
Ryuuichi Sakuma – 31 years old. Totally hot when he’s not acting like a 5 year old. Although he’s really cute when he does and he has the ‘no da’ behind most sentences when he’s in the 5 year-old mode. (My favorite character) He reminds me a lot of Chichiri as our kawaii monk has two sides to him as well; the Chibi/funny version and the serious totally hot bishounen version…Ryuuichi is the lead singer in a rival band named ‘Nittle Grasper’ and he is Shuuichi’s idol and was the inspiration for the younger man. For rivals, they get along remarkably well. Did I mention that he’s, like, totally hot? *dreamy sigh* Especially when he sings….*drool*…he becomes ultra-sexy!!!! (Ne, Hitari-chan?) <MY lead character>
Tohma Seguchi – 32 years old. Looks exactly like Quatre…with a hat. (Same sieryuu too) Plays keyboard in ‘Nittle Grasper’ and also the big honcho in the recording business. He owns the NG recoding label that the bishounens work for. He’s also married to Yuki’s sister, Mika, though I think that he’d rather be married to Yuki…Hmm…could it be because in one episode he said, “…Yuki Eiri is the man I love most in this world…” (Remember, my translation is somewhat wacky, but I think they got it right because he follows Yuki everywhere…)
Hiroshi (Hiro) Nakano – Shuuichi’s long time friend and was his only partner when bad Luck first started. Also 19 years old and plays the guitar in the band. Tall, long reddish hair and also good looking. Currently dating Yuki’s ex-fiancé…
Fujisaka – New member to Bad Luck. Plays the keyboard and he’s Tohma’s cousin. He’s 17 years old. He was added to Bad Luck at the insistence of Tomah (I wonder why?) who wouldn’t be the band’s producer other wise. About Shuuichi’s height and built, had greenish hair.
K – A trigger happy American. LOL, he’s a hoot, I tell you. He was Ryuuichi’s manager but was transferred to be Bad Luck’s manager. Very tall, blond and had his hair in some kind of a ponytail throughout the series.
Sakano – Was Bad Luck’s manager but now is the Producer. A very anxious person. Had a nervous break down every episode…sometimes several per episode. Tall, dark hair, pair of glasses…

Our heroes, in this story…
Tasuki is a singer with Nuriko as his songwriter friend. Hotohori is Tasuki’s manager and Nuriko’s long time friend. Nuriko is hopelessly in love with Hotohori who hasn’t a clue…sounds familiar? I’m keeping Tasuki and Nuriko at 19 years old, same as Shuuichi and Hotohori at 20.
Chichiri is a very successful but enigmatic songwriter working with NG. He’s 26 years old. Grew up with Yuki and had pretty much the ‘older brother’ role until Yuki was taken to the States by Tohma. Something mysterious happened when he was young and the affect of it haunts him ‘til this day…
Gravitation is set in Japan…so will this story.
