What is Good Night?
Good Night is what I like defining as a “CATS resource fan site”; a site dedicated to both showcase fan-material and a respectable amount of useful data to the enjoyment for fans, myself and whoever else that may take interest. It was built with the intention in mind of being a tribute to a musical (and a fandom) that I hold dear to my heart – but most of all, Good Night is my contribution to maintain CATS as a world wide phenomenon and keep it living on.

Site History
Good Night opened the first day of January in the year of 2006 as the result of years with a fanatical mindset. It was given the name “Meyju” (and later “Cats in the Cradle” as a sub-name) and entered the web just as wonderfully enthusiastic, idealistic and proud as new sites tend to be. Ambition: covering every single little aspect of the fandom and the musical.

Not unexpectedly, an ambition of such kind turned out to be quite the impossible goal to achieve. Fun had become work. Because of that, I realised I had definitely lost something very essential along the way; my own personal touch. That was a real problem to me and some drastic measures had to be done. Half a year after its ''grand opening'', Good Night went through a reincarnation and returned 3 weeks (and a rather impressive account of "stylish" layouts that I didn't like) later with a new name and a new standpoint (and less content ^^")

In November/December 2006, after a 5-6 weeks long hiatus, I adjusted Good Night to new conditions once again: it was officially introduced as a “resource fan site”.

Following in the beginning of 2007 was a half year long to-and-fro swapping between ideas, modifications and layout changes. Good Night admittedly progressed very little through that time from the visitor’s point of view, but made immense progress behind the scene. My mind was full of all things CATS and the file-sketchbook drew the outlines of numerous projects. By the beginning of summer, I began researching, writing and releasing new pages. At present time, I’m working with establishing new pages in-between my studies (the university ones).

All in all, Good Night is the site with the odd turning points. It will always have a “erase, rewind, prosper”-process (because I will always take in new impulses, stray and adjust) – but the direction remains the same. I want Good Night to be someplace people can enjoy themselves and I want Good Night to mirror my interests. And I can proudly claim that I have succeeded making Good Night into something that is far more than any of my former sites (Nimbletail’s World, Backyard) have ever been. What concerns the enjoyment bit is up to the visitor to decide. But I like to think that I have, so far, succeeded.

A job well done, if I might say so myself.

Trippy with its sharp orange themed colours. Those signs are kanji for neko (cat) and ai (love).

Classy and elegant in its simplicity. Victoria always adds that touch of elegance.

I adore this one. The scrapbook-style turned out really nicely!

The earth tones gave a feeling of calm and serenity. The blend looked really good too.
