Last week of the regular season

Last week to drop players without penalties carrying over into next year  (1-year players will not incur a penalty if released after the end of the playoffs)

NFL CFL XFL
Chargers have clinched.

Tight Ends: A win will put them in the Draft Pick bracket; a loss with a Hitmen win will put them in the Lottery bracket.

Hitmen: Need to score 33 more points than the Assassins to take the wildcard spot. A loss means they will play SmackDownSister in the lottery bracket. A win will place them in the draft pick bracket.

SmackDownSister: Will play the top team in the lottery bracket.

Rynos: Need to score 4 points more than the Marauders to win the "most points" award. A Ryno win and Marauder loss will tie for best record.

StiffArms: Have a long shot chance at making the playoffs if they score 77 points more than either the Assassins or Hitmen. Failure to do so will put them up against the weakest team in the draft pick bracket.

PhatBacks: are locked in the draft pick bracket

Ball Ho's: A Tight End win and Hitmen Win will put them in the lottery bracket. A loss by either of those teams will put them in the draft pick bracket.

Marauders: A win will get them the best record prize; Scoring more points than the Rynos will get them the Best Points prize.

Assassins: Need to score not less than 32 points less than the Hitmen to win the wildcard. Will likely face the Chargers in the first round.

The Gryphons and Quiet Storm will face each other in the first round of the Lottery playoffs.

Week 14 Match-ups

SmackDownSister (2-11) vs. Hitmen (5-8)

***Game of the Week*** The season is almost done for SmackDownSister. They will play the Hitmen this week and then head off to the Lottery bracket to play the strongest team in that bracket. They have tough match-ups this week with games against Dallas, Baltimore & Tennessee but better play out of Donovan McNabb may give them a boost. The Hitmen are in a quandary - if they score more than 33 points more than the Assassins, they will make the playoffs; if they lose they will end up in the lottery bracket. Great play from Matt Hasselbeck vs. the weak Minnesota defense will be key this week.

Chargers (9-4) vs. Tight Ends (6-7)

The Chargers are all locked up with their playoff spot and have virtually no chance at any additional regular season prizes (the closest is most points, which they must score more than 100 points more than the Marauders, Rynos and Assassins to have a shot at). The Chargers will only be hoping for NO INJURIES to Duce McCallister this weekend. The Tight Ends finish a disappointing season and a loss will likely put them in the lottery bracket. With Priest Holmes in his last year of his contract, resigning him will be the key to future success for this team.

Rynos  (10-3) vs. Ball Ho's (6-7)

This is a huge game for the Rynos - a big win and they could pick up $30 extra dollars of prizes. Their team is clicking, averaging 81 points a week over the past month. Marshall Faulk has been key for them recently averaging 15 fantasy points per week over the past month. The Ball Ho's could end up in the lottery bracket with wins by both the Tight Ends and the Hitmen this week. The key pickup this year for the Ball Ho's - Domanick Davis - has been solid and will be playing a weaker Jacksonville defense this weekend.

PhatBacks (7-6) vs.  StiffArms (8-5)

The PhatBacks want to be in ANY other division than the CFL. Against all other opponents they are 6-1. Against divisional opponents they are 0-5 (the only team not to have a divisional win). They can look forward to a third straight year in the CFL next year. The StiffArms had a disappointing finish to their season with a solid home-stretch, but facing an opponent that had phenomenal week. They will be the top seeded team in the draft pick bracket, and can rely on Michael Pittman to run wild against the Arizona front this weekend.

Assassins (7-6)vs. Quiet Storm (3-10)

The Assassins have almost locked up the wild card and will need to score only about 40 points this week to keep their brother out of the playoffs. Their team has turned it around recently averaging 75 points a week, but is 1-4 in their past 5 games. Off-season acquisition Joe Horn needs to pick up his game for the Assassins, because everyone else on their roster has been doing well. The Quiet Storm are carefully watching the waiver wire waiting for some drops to happen for next year. First to be released of the QS roster: Ontario Smith who has 0 fantasy points and hasn't touched the ball in a month.

Marauders (11-2) vs. Gryphons (4-9)

The Marauders are blowing their season down the home stretch with abysmal play out of all receiving positions. Over the past month, the six receivers on the Marauders roster have averaged a paltry 3.5 fantasy points per week. Over that time, the Marauders total scoring has dipped under 70 points per week. The Gryphons have nothing to lose at this point, and can also watch the waiver wire with loads of cash to bid on people waived.

Week 14 Transactions

Week 14 Results

SmackDownSister 48

Hitmen 45

Chargers 65

Tight Ends 50

Ball Ho's 66

Rynos 57

In a close game, SmackDownSister wins the 2nd meeting with the Hitmen and will meet them again in the first round of the playoffs.  Sister had another big game out of Donnovan McNabb who seems to have finally woken up. The Chargers cap off their season with a win over the Tight Ends.  Despite negative points out of his QB position (Fiedler with -1.8), then Bucks defense lead the way with 7 sacks, 3 takeaways and 1 blocked kick with only 7 points allowed. The Ball Ho's hang on to beat the Rynos preventing them from having any chance of tying the best record category.  Randy Moss had another big game with 2 TDs and over 125 yards while the Ravens defense had six sacks and 5 takeaways.

StiffArms 87

PhatBacks 66

Assassins 79

Quiet Storm 66

Marauders 84

Gryphons 30

The StiffArms beat the PhatBacks and leave the PhatBacks as the only team to go winless in divisional games over the season.  Clinton Portis set a record for the league and the StiffArms with a phenomenal 5 rushing TDs and over 250 yards of rushing.  That's a new all-time record for the league. The Assassins end the season on a winning note defeating the Quiet Storm, leaving them with one win and one loss against each divisional opponent.  Two huge games from Jamal Lewis (180 yards and 3 TDs) and the Patriots Defense (29 total fantasy points) covered up 5 other players that failed to score more than 5 fantasy points. The Marauders hang on to the points race and finish the season a few points ahead of the Rynos for most points.  Edgerin James had a big game with over 100 yards and 2 TDs while Terrell Owens bailed out the receiving corps with almost the same production, but it was Mike Vanderjact and his five field goals and 2 XPs that made the difference.
