Don't miss our new feature - the RYNO POLL.  Only available through the CFFL

The first poll will be at the bottom of this page.  Past polls will be available through the Ryno Poll link at the top of the page.  The Ryno Poll will be brought to you weekly by Ryan "Sean's gay" O'Connor.  I will occasionally throw in another poll.  I believe we'll be able to host 20 polls before we have to tear any down.

Week 3 Schedule

Chargers (2-0) vs. Rynos  (2-0)
***Game of the Week***   For a second week, the Rynos will take part in the Game of the Week when the Chargers come to town.  So far the Rynos have had the easiest schedule since their opponents have only scored an average of 43 points per week against them.  The Chargers have been scoring almost double that (76 per week) so should put up a much greater challenge.  Rob will be watching (if he can) the New Orleans - Tennessee game as he has both his running backs going there.  The Rynos have a similar situation with Marshall Faulk & the Rams go up against Shaun Alexander & the Seahawks.  A Fantasy football nut's dream.

SmackDownSister (0-2) vs. Assassins (1-1)

The Assassins are looking forward to taking on the league's lowest scoring team so far this year when they will be without four starters (McNabb, Phili Defens, Brooker, A-Train). Not that they've helped much so far; the leading scorer for SmackDownSister is aging veteran Garrison Hearst.  The Assassins my not need to field anyone else than Jamal Lewis to win this one....

Tight Ends (1-1) vs. Marauders (2-0)

The Marauders will have their work cut out for them as the Tight Ends come in to Mar-town. Luck of schedule has put them up 2-0 (reverse the games, and we're 0-2).  Both teams are looking forward to the matchup of Green Bay vs. Arizona as the Marauders have Ahman Green running and the Tight Ends have the Green Bay Defense guaranteed to put up great points.

Hitmen (1-1) vs. Ball Ho's (1-1)

After a disappointing loss, the Hitmen are expecting more production out of LaDanian Tomlinson.  It's unlikely it will come this week as he's going up against the Ball Ho's Baltimore Defense.  The Baltimore D put up 19 points last week after a sub-par first week (only 3 points).

PhatBacks (0-2) vs. Quiet Storm (0-2)

The greatest thing about fantasy football is that everyone will win sometime.  For these two teams, that sometime will come at the end of this week (baring a tie).  The PhatBacks had a crushing loss last week when they were beaten by less than a touchdown.  They're hoping for a little more from Peyton Manning (who has 1 TD this year).  The Quiet Storm are also waiting for their QB, Rich Gannon, to produce like the MVP he is.

Gryphons (1-1) vs. StiffArms (1-1)

Two teams with 1-1 records and very good points-for scored, they will both be looking to keep pace with the division leaders.  The Gryphons are surprising everyone in the league by being in the middle of the points race thanks to running back Travis Henry who has 5 touchdowns so far this year.  The StiffArms are leaning on Portis and hoping that injury that prompted his rival PhatBacks to pick up Mike Anderson is nothing serious.

Week 3 Results (unofficial)

Rynos 54

Chargers 51

Assassins 58

SmackDownSister 48

Marauders 71

Tight Ends 42

In a second big matchup, the Rynos win thanks to Jason Elam's 7 points on Monday night.  The Rynos went in down by 5 points despite the loss of Marshall Faulk, and Elam bailed them out.

In a surprisingly close contest, the Assassins smacked down SmackDownSister.  Jamal Lewis was once again the man for the Assassins rushing for 132 yards and a touchdown. Sister probably missed Reggie Wayne who they dropped last Tuesday - Wayne put up over 19 points. The Marauders upend the Tight Ends thanks to the spectacular defense of the newly acquired Kansas City Chiefs and Ike Hilliard who had over 60 total yards and two touchdowns.  The Tight Ends must have been overconfident as they only started 2 WRs

Hitmen 74

Ball Ho's 50

PhatBacks 44

Quiet Storm 30

StiffArms 46

Gryphons 28

LaDanian Tomlinson and his powder blue uniform broke out on Sunday and powered the Hitmen to a win over the Ball Ho's. Tomlinson put up over 150 yards and a score on Sunday to go along with a strong performances by Ricky Williams and Koren Robinson.

In a close game between winless teams, Peyton Manning finally had a decent game putting up 216 passing yards and 2 touchdowns with only the one tipped-pass interception.  That was enough to give the PhatBacks their first win of the season.

In the third very close game that had to wait until Monday night to decide the victor, the StiffArms edge out the Gryphons thanks to the big man Daunte Cullpepper who threw for only 100 yards but rushed for 16 yards and 2 touchdowns in only 3 quarters work.
