Note: There was a scoring change to the Week 5 game of the Chargers vs. the StiffArms.  The Tampa Defense (Chargers) was awarded a TD based on the fumble recovery by Keenan McCardell.  Yahoo has reversed this ruling as it was not a defensive touchdown.  That removes 6 points from the Chargers total which results in a StiffArms win by 0.3 points (56.4 vs 56.1).

Week 6 Match-ups

SmackDownSister (0-5)  vs. Quiet Storm (0-5)
***Game of the Week***  This is perhaps the biggest matchup this week.  Two teams jockeying for next year's XFL will go head to head.  One will get their first win of the year and the other will be beaten by the 2nd worst team in the league.  SmackDownSister looks to be improving with his highest point total of the year coming last week.  RB Anthony Thomas looks t be regaining his form which could make Sister a spoiler down the road.  The Quiet Storm averaged just 2 points per game more than Sister, but has his big gun Stephen Davis up against the dominant Indianapolis Colts defense Sunday.

Chargers (3-2) vs. Gryphons (1-4)

After a spectacular win last week, the Chargers take on the Gryphons.  The running game for the Chargers should get on track as his RBs go up against two weak defenses (Chicago and Houston).  However, both those defenses came up huge in the past (Chicago last week vs. Oakland and Houston week 1 vs. Miami).  The Gryphons on the other hand are once again without a QB as Kitna is on a bye and both Brunell and Warner have lost their jobs.  But Jimmy Smith is back, and had a big game last week (137 yards, but no scores).

Tight Ends (3-2) vs. Ball Ho's (2-3)

Two teams united by "DNS" syndrome.  The Tight Ends won both their games that they did not start players, but the Ball Ho's missed an opportunity to take 2nd in their division with a non-start.  Right now the Tight Ends have a full roster, leaving only one question:  will they start Keenan McCardell who had 3 touchdowns and over 100 yards on Monday night.  The Ball Ho's will be weak this week without WR stud Randy Moss, RB Corey Dillion and Emmitt Smith.  But Isaac Bruce will be back playing against a depleted Atlanta secondary, and could have a huge game.

Hitmen (3-2) vs. PhatBacks (3-2)

After a disappointing week, the Hitmen will be without star RB LaDanian Tomlinson this week, but will have fill in Troy Hambrick up against the porous Phili defense.  Aaron Brooks is back in at QB after a decent week last week (on the bench) and looks to post big numbers against the Chicago defense.  The PhatBacks will also be without their phat back Moe Williams, but will have not-so-famous Amos Zereoue in against the Denver Defense (who shut down Priest Holms last week).

Rynos  (5-0) vs. Assassins (3-2)
This will be the toughest match-up so far this year for the undefeated Rynos as they take on the 2nd highest scoring team in the league.  With Faulk still out, they will be forced to start RB Antwain Smith who is invigorated after briefly losing his starting job to Kevin Faulk.  He'll need big numbers from Smith, Alexander and Steve McNair vs. the Assassins, who have almost a full roster this week.  The best matchup will be Jamal Lewis vs. the Arizona Cardinals defense.  Anybody putting money on a new single-game record for fantasy points?

StiffArms (2-3) vs. Marauders (5-0)

The StiffArms had a crushing loss last week as they lost because of a wacky offensive - defensive play for the Tampa Bay Defense.  Now they have to take on one of two undefeated teams and the league's highest scoring team.  But with RB Clinton Portis back healthy and Michael Pittman running like the law was after him, this team can put up a lot of points.  The Marauders are trying to cover the loss of Edgerin James who has decided not to play football for the month of October.  Marcel Shipp vs. Baltimore?  yuk.... On the bright side, better pack your Sharpie's because Terrell Owens is heading back to Seattle

Scoring Chaged

In the Game of the Week, the Quiet Storm wins their first of the year taking down SmackDownSister in a very close game.  Ironically, it was Brad Johnson (who QS acquired from Sister last year) who won the day for the Storm with over 250 yards passing and 3 TDs. The Chargers win their second consecutive game and move into 1st place in the NFL with a strong performance by a Wide Receiver.  This time it was Derrick Mason with 177 yards and 3 TDs which edges out Randy Moss' record-setting performance two weeks ago by 0.3 points. The Ball Ho's edged out the Tight Ends on Monday night with the performance of their two WRs Isaac Bruce and Peerless Price who combined for 120 yards. But it was the performance of the Ravens Defense once again that dominant player for the Ball Ho's with 5 takeaways, a blocked kick, and a TWO defensive touchdown (23 fantasy points - pending review).

PhatBacks 70

Hitmen 61

Assassins 67

Rynos 48

Marauders 92

StiffArms 42

The PhatBacks come back against the Hitmen on Monday Night with 31 points out of the St. Louis Rams Defense with a shutout, 4 takeaways, 4 sacks, a blocked kick and a saftey.  That 31 point performance was just one short of the all-time record set in 2001.  This win moves them into a tie with the Rynos for first place in the CFL Division and marks their 4th consecutive win. The Assassins put an end to the Rynos winning streak with a narrow victory thanks to  Marc Bulger's fantastic Monday night with over 350 yards passing, 2 passing TDs and a rushing TD.  The Ryno's blame free agent pickup Ricky William's (2 fumbles and under 70 yards for -0.8 points on the day) for their loss.

The last undefeated team, the Marauders won convincingly lead by the Green Brothers - Ahman and Trent.  Both players each generated over 17 fantasy points, along with a whopping 24 points for the Miami defense (5 takeaways and 4 sacks with a defensive TD).
