Big match-up week this week as the #1 & #2 points teams square off and the #3 and #4 scoring teams play each other.

Week 7 Match-ups

Rynos (6-0) vs  vs Ketchup Hotdog (3-3)

***Matchup of the week***  This is what it all comes down to.  The Rynos have a slim one game lead in the NFL, and are the second highest scoring team behind their week 7 opponent Ketchup Hotdog.  The Rynos may be starting Byron Leftwich again as he's up against one of the worst defenses in the NFL (the Colts).  Also, with Shaun Alexander running against the Arizona Cardinals, the Rynos should have a very productive week.  KH has some serious injury concerns and may be without their top two Wideouts Randy Moss and Javon Walker, forcing them to start Reche Caldwell and Andre' Davis (who is also questionable).  The early line is that the Rynos are the favorite in this match-up.

Marauders (1-5) vs Quiet Storm (0-6)

What looked like a match-up of winless teams last week turns into what could be a preview of the Toilet Bowl.  Adding extra drama to this game is the the real life trade of the Marauders Antonio Bryant for the Quiet Storm's Quincy Morgan as the two ineffective wide receivers swap teams and perpetuate mediocrity in the NFL.  The Marauders get their top player Edgerin James back this week and the Quiet Storm will be without their #1 player in Andre Johnson and will have a number of tough match-ups including games against New England, Tampa Bay and Philadelphia.
Chargers (3-3) vs Hooligans (4-2)
The Chargers have a little win streak going, and this week take on the XFL-leading Hooligans.  The Chargers have a full roster, and could have a fantastic week with the Tennessee Threesome up against the porous Minnesota Defense and their Tampa Defense playing the hapless Chicago Bears.  The "Smoke & Mirrors" Hooligans that each week seem to start just the right people (except for the one week they started two people on a bye) might have a tough time deciding between the red-hot Brett Favre playing against the Cowboys defense, or Michael Vick playing against the Kansas City "wet toilet paper" defense.

StiffArms (4-2) vs. Assassins (6-0)

Another huge match-up - the StiffArms go up against the undefeated Assassins.  The two teams are very similar - they score almost the same number of points per week, and the two teams also have had the best luck in the league with teams scoring points against them (the Assassins rank #1 and the StiffArms are tied for 2nd best).  The StiffArms will be without their stud RB Clinton Portis, but the way Daunte Culpepper is playing (current MVP frontrunner) they may be ok without him.  The Assassins will be without star Running back Jamal Lewis as well, but have Chester Taylor to fill in for him along with Fred Taylor running against the Colts.  Should be a fairly even game.

(it's the only picture I could find)

Phatbacks (2-4) vs SmackDownSister (2-4)
What to say about these two teams... both teams entered with fairly solid rosters, and six weeks into the season, both are 2-4 and in the bottom 3 in scoring per week.  However, both teams (especially SDS) are still very much in contention for the playoffs.  The PhatBacks will be adding another receiver as their plethora of running backs have left only two active receivers on their roster.  On the bright side, it seems Ruben Droughns has locked up the starting Running Back position for the Vikings.  Speaking of a plethora of running backs, SDS also has a lot to chose from, but may be able to start Mewelde Moore a lot longer than they had originally thought...

JYDs (3-3) vs Hitmen (2-4)

Both of these teams are hanging in the race for the division title, and are tied for second behind the division leader.  The JYDs got some good news as long-time bench warmer Keenan McCardell will be going to San Diego.  League sources say that they are looking to address their QB situation in the near future as Kerry Collins seems to be throwing almost as many interceptions as the Miami Dolphins do (ok, not quite that many!).  The Hitmen can hope to get a good game out of Matt Hasselbeck this week as he takes on the weak Arizona secondary.

Week 7 Results (preliminary results)

Rynos 66

Ketchup Hotdog 64

Marauders 56

Quiet Storm 45

Chargers 67

Hooligans 59

The Rynos edge out Ketchup Hotdog in a VERY close game that was decided on Monday night as Jason Elam posted 4 fantasy points.  The Rynos Baltimore Defense once again came up HUGE for the second week in a row as they shut down Drew Bledsoe sacking him 4 times and getting 4 interceptions including one returned for a touchdown while only allowing six points.  KH had a solid day from Marc Bulger who had close to 300 passing yards and threw & ran for a Touchdown. The Marauders win their second game in a row thanks to two plays on offense - a 90 yard run for a touchdown by Ahman Green and a 71 yard touchdown reception by Chris Chambers (total 20 fantasy points on the two plays).  For the day, Ahman Green totaled over 165 yards and scored two touchdowns.  The Quiet Storm had a lot of bad luck this week as they were without their top two Wide Receivers and Running Backs (as Stephen Davis was inactivated prior to the game).  The QS ended up setting a new record for consecutive losses.  um... congratulations I guess....   The Chargers knocked off their personal rival the Hooligans to win their third game in a row.  They won a solid game despite Steve McNair throwing for a total of 2 yards in the game.  Fortunately for the Chargers Marvin Harrison snapped out of his coma and scored 2 touchdowns (along with 70 receiving yards) and Deuce McCalister also rushed for two touchdowns (although only had just over 60 total yards).  The Hooligans came up just short wasting a great day by Terrell Owens who scored 2 touchdown and had over 100 receiving yards.

Assassins 73

StiffArms 62

SmackDownSister 71

PhatBacks 46

JYDs  74

Hitmen 53

It doesn't get closer than this.  Going into Monday night the two teams were tied with one player each.  The Assassins  eventually won the day with Charles Johnson outperforming the StiffArms' Denver Defense.  The Assassins had a solid day from Darrell Jackson with over 100 yards and a TD and had a touchdown from both Charles Johnson and Randy McMichael.  The StiffArms had a solid day from Lee Suggs who had close to 100 yards and scored a touchdown while David Akers hit 2 long field-goals and scored 4 extra points. SmackDownSister moves one game closer to first in the XFL with a win over the flailing PhatBacks, and are now only one game out of first place.  Donnovan McNabb was their star who had over 375 yards passing and threw four touchdowns while Ryan Longwell also contributed with two field goals and five extra points.  The PhatBacks also had a stellar performance by their quarterback Peyton Manning who threw for over 350 yards and 3 touchdowns but were let down by what was the NFL's top ranked rush defense who allowed 56 points (all rushing touchdowns) to the Kansas City Chiefs. The JYDs get their scoring back on track this week with a HUGE week by Priest Holms - Fantasy Stud.  Priest had the best week by a fantasy player so far this year with 180 total yards and four touchdowns (minus one fumble).  He would have scored more, but left the game in the 3rd quarter allowing his backup to score four more touchdowns.  The Hitmen have now lost four in a row, but remain two games back of the Hooligans in the XFL thanks to the Chargers.  The Hitmen had a good game out of the Seahawks defense who had 3 sacks and 2 takeaways (one for a TD) although they allowed 23 points.
