Morearti is a member of a race of human/panther persumed to be extinct for 65,000 years. He rarely uses his last name, Panthyr, for it is said that the down fall of his people came at the hands of another of his blood, another Panthyr.
That tratior, the one of the crimson fur, collasped the strong society of the Panthyr and plunged the entire race in a dark and bloody civil war, of which it never survived.
Mory, as he is called by his close friends, is commonly seen in human form. Like all of his race, he has the ability to morph into a large ebon panther, many times the size of a present day panther.
Many of the Panthyr were mages and they used the arcane ways of magic to enable them to meld within shadows, which enabled the Panthyr to accomplish many new feats. Soon the Panthyr were masters of Shadow magic.

Over the centuries, advances in shadowmagic allowed a select few of the panthyr to inherit the power of the shadows.
Called Shadow Panthers, these elites of the Panthyr were a devistating force. They could not be seen in combat, their natural abilites where increase ten fold and they could enter the shadow realm, becoming shadows themselves. None could oppose them.
Morearti is the last and finest of the Panthyr Shadow Panthers.
