A Few Poems

Here are two poems written by my beautiful, better half. They describe the love we share and the hopes and determination in the face of an unsure, but very bright future. :)

Here alone in the dark
    with but one light for solace
I find myself thinking of you
     and it brings a smile to my face
I know where you are and I want to join you
I want to be there by your side
I want to reach out and touch you
There are times I just want to hold you
    and others when I want more
There are times I just wanna be able to look up
   and see you, to stare in your eyes
     just to know you are there
It scares me to feel this way
    like I'm being swept away uncontrollably
I dont know how this ride will end
I do know I love you
    that things will never be the same
We've grown even closer over a short time
   we can never go back to the way it was
    and I know I dont want it to
I like what I see ahead and can only think you do to

I close my eyes and drift away
I smile as the world around me fades into dreams...
Dreams of your warm hand cupping my face
Dreams of your eyes as they stare into mine
Dreams of being safe within your embrace
Dreams of your lips breathing softly into my ear as you whisper I Love You
Dreams of lips pressed together in a passionate kiss
Dreams of you
Dreams of what is
Dreams of what is to be
Dreams of happiness
Dreams of love
Dreams of US!!!
