Solstice

So many Gods here
(Ceres, Satyrs, Somnus, Mors)
but few prayers answered.

To Robert: A Japanese Haiku for a French-Canadian Taoist

Always moving in
silence and space, the Taoist
finds home through his feet.

Pronounced: ded kái•out
(CONCISE PRONUNCIATION KEY: (i) ai, tiger. (o) ou, goat.)

Drive any highway,
coyote sprawls across shoulder -
late ear to the ground.

PAM YULE is one of my poet friends - we've been members of the same small poets' group for a few years. I'm constantly amazed by the depth and breadth of Pam's poetry, and must admit I envy her talent!

She says of herself, "I live in the State of Transition, Province of Alberta, and can't say where I'm headed from here. I wish I could tell you more."
