Wishful thinking
Entry for December 30, 2005
Winter break is almost over. Well, it's not really a break like in school. I had to use up more vacation days than I'd lke to take off between Xmas and New Year's. Been traveling all over the place to see relatives. I'm tired and ready to go home. I've been wanting to get back to my computer, Photoshop, and make some pictures again. Heck, if my roommate is still away, I want to get all dolled up in my one outfit and feel girly for a while.

Just realized that I have two blogs on blogger.com. dawnscorner.blogspot.com and dawnsfotofun.blogspot.com. I haven't kept up dawnscorner very well at all. I suppose this will be its replacement for the time being. The photo blog I'll keep up just because Yahoo shrinks the images you try to post here. And I like having the high res versions available for viewing.

I'm pondering starting up an Amazon.com Honor System account and putting a link up somewhere so that people who appreciate my Photoshop work can donate a few bucks here and there if they want to.

Living in L.A. is expensive and while I'm not exactly struggling to make ends meet--it's still hard to come up with spare cash to keep my hardware/software updated and even tougher to justify spending anything on girl clothes.

I don't know what to expect really. I probably should expect zero, actually. But I keep thinking, gee, I put a lot of work into my photomanips and even $10 a month would add up. There's not anything to lose, so it seems a worthwhile experiment.

I like the Amazon.com Honor System because it looks like both myself and the donator can retain our privacy. PayPal didn't look like that was an option. Maybe there are other services out there, but I trust Amazon.com and am more comfortable staying with them.

Hear.Hear.As I can totally understand where ya coming from in wanting to be paid for spending the amount of time that goes into producing a pic. It's like commissioning a artist to render a piece for a client.

But anyways...I wish you the best of luck out of this experiment.
