Angel and Blossom -- two little girls, mermaid and human, born on the same day (but different places of course), in the first story, meet at beach, become friends although families do not approve, each feels the others cannot be trusted, joined efforts to save a stranded whale, families learn they can be friends. Second story about Angel and Blossom, the two girls meet again after a winter apart, both families decide to celebrate the Vernal Equinox at the shore, Angel's family comes into the shallows to gather seaweed flowers, Blossom's family comes to the beach to go for a row. The girls see each other and talk about the special day. Each has an old family story about the Vernal Equinox being the one day when different creatures can speak to one another, by going to a special place. Each story only gives part of the puzzle, but together they give all of it.
My very first one, first of a series of bedtime stories for my son.
