SATURDAY 19th MGCC CALDER TWILIGHT SPRINT & REGULARITY.
This was a really great event last year and if we get organised early enough we could get an invite from our friends at the MGCC. Members of the Modified Register attended a similar event at Calder a few years ago and it was a huge success with the MGCC giving us a class on our own and even awarding trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Scrutineering starts at 1.00pm and driver's briefing is at 3.00pm. Racing will start at approx. 4.00pm and finish under lights at approx. 10.00pm.

SATURDAY 16th. MMCCV Inc. SILVER JUBILEE DINNER.
7.30pm at the Eastern Golf Club, 473 Doncater Road, Doncaster. Celerbrating 25 years of the MMCCV. $25.00 per head includes a MMCCV subsidized dinner/band and a lot of waffle from founding members, past presidents and life members who we don't usually see at any other time.....Should be an interesting night and well worth the money! The Modified Register is organizing a table for MMR members.

THURSDAY 21st. MMR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING/ELECTION.
8.00pm at 2f King Street Oakleigh. Come along and cast your vote for our 2002 Committee! Please note that to be able to vote at this meeting you need to be a financial member of the MMR for the twelve months prior to the AGM. This means that you will have paid your 2002 subs beforehand doesn't it?! Nomination forms are available from Richard or Daryl (if you didn't get one in the mail) and need to be made 7 days prior to the meeting. BYO drinks and snacks. SATURDAY 2nd DROMANA DRIVE-IN NIGHT.
This is an annual Hot Rod big-day-out with heaps of other hot  vehicles on display (not just our own hot Morries).........so don't miss it!
Steve Locke kept this event a sectret for years and won a few trophies, but now we're right onto it!!
Adults $10.00. Concession $8.00....Trophies and prizes will be awarded by the organisers on the night.
Meet at Jon Giles' factory 2f King Steet Oakleighat 4.45pm for a 5.00pm departure and join the Hot Rod Morry convoy to the Dromana Drive-in.......Estimated time of arrival is 6.30pm. Movie starts at 8.30pm.
Feature film (that's if your interested) is 'Black Hawk Down' featuring Eric Banner pretending to be an American.

It's a good and cheap way to learn all about driving at the island.

Annual invitation from Alfa Club. This annual event is usually run at Sandown, but due to the rebuilding going on at Sandown it has been re-directed to 'The Island'. This was a fantastic (at Sandown) day last year, those of you who don't take advantage of this one this year will be sorry! Very well organized by David Floyd (founding member of MMCCV) and his brother who are both Alfa Club members. The Modified Register is the 'STAR ATTRACTION' of the Day of the Morris Minor (DOMM) this year!
Starts at 10.00am at Deepdene Park Oval (next to the MMCCV Club Rooms) Whitehorse Road, Balwyn (Melway Ref. P.46 A8). Interclub competition (games). Enter your HOT Morris Minor for a chance to win a trophy in your category (people's choice). BYO picnic lunch. Coffee and tea provided. Morris Modified Register meetings are held bi-monthly at 2f King Street Oakleigh (until further notice) and the official Modified Newsletter is usually published to co-encide with these meetings. MMR events are also usually held once every second month.
