This CD was released only in Europe. Imports were later brought to the US. On the CD, "Foxy Lady" has an asterisk (*) by it probably because that is the only song (of all the albums not including "The Easy Cure" and the band before that) from "The Cure" that was sung by someone other than Robert Smith. This is Michael Dempsey who left due to a disagreement with the bass lines Robert was writing for him. This CD did not include the title "Three Imaginary Boys" because Robert was tring to be "Anti-Image." |

This Cd is confusing. I'm not sure if there were two different releases of this album. www.thecure.com has more songs on this Cd and in a totlay different order. It says "release date Feb 1980" and my Cd has the date 1979. But when I buy this Cd it is not an Inport. This Cd was done again to add more songs and was only to be realesed only in the US. I'm not sure what song Michael Dempsey sung or maybe he was just back up vocals for certaint songs |

Some say (as do I) that this is a CD that heads into Robert's "dark side" of his music. This CD was also Heartleys, and Simon Gallups first with the cure. This was also Heartleys last record with them. If you notice this CD's music is different from the other two, as all of them differ from each other. |

This album has sorda slow with a few fast ones (Doubt and Primary). I like to listen to this album when I'm ready to go to bed or something heh heh. Love the words to Drowning Man. Wonder what that picture is on the cover. Sorda looks like a close eye with the corner of someones lips on the bottom middle. I guess it's a face I dunno. They started to putt makeup around this time, or even around 17 seconds. They were both released in the same year so meh |

Pornagraphy is sorda goth if you wana give it a lable. It's cool. This is the album I am not to familiar with out of my CD's. I think Lol's mom died just before they made this. This was truely a sad time for the band for that and other reasons. I think Roberts life was taking a turn for the worst and all he had left was his music. Started Doing drugs. (or so I've read, I personaly don't know if it's true or not) |

Um the band was basicly Robert. If you look at the next picture that is basicly the band during this CD with the exception of Porl Thompson. He did not come in till "The Top" |
Let's go to bed The Dream Just One Kiss The Upstairs Room The Walk Speak My Language La Ment The Lovecats |
The thing with this CD is that it's mostly special affects and sounds... Something one person can put together in a studio by themself and that's exactly what Robert Did for most of the songs. He did all except "Speak My Language" and "The Lovecats" all by himself. Simon had left the group and Lol does not know much about writing music. Then I guess as he was done with most of the album he found another percusionist and a bassis. So he did two songs with the whole band. So this album was almost done by Robert and not The Cure. But that's just a stupid thing to say but I just wanted to make a point. I dont' have the times for these songs becuase they were not on my CD. I think that Robert did this album to cover up how alone he was. The music does not imply that he was a one man band really. If you to even pay attention to that at least. The words about about girls. But jsut about every other song is. |

Hm... The Top was a getting together album for the cure? Sorda I guess. This album is not as easy to aquire. They don't produce this album anymore. And Electra did not copy this album either. This is the album where Lol was drifting away from the group. I guess it started before. He started to become less and less worth to the group. Partially because he did not contribute much. It's really sad because he is the only member (beside Robert) that is still from the begining. |
