Experience Points:

The dreaded explanation of how Mortality Mocked calculates experience points.

Up until November 12th, we had a different method of tabulating exp here in MM. Starting back on November 13th, 2000, we have adopted a new method. It is as follows:

1) 1 point for every 20 lines of a written post. Not a cleaned up log, but an actual post where you have put forth effort into making it look like a story. Examples--

JOJO: ::walks into the bar fuming mad at his girlfriend::
SALLY: ::Sees Jojo come in and heads to the bathroom to avoid his wrath:::

Story form like so:

Jojo walked into the bar. He was so fuming at Sally that he was seeing red. As he rounded the corner of the bar he saw her slip past some of her friends and disappear into the haven of the ladies room. He grabbed a brew and waited for her to emerge.

Those are examples of what I am talking about. Not that there isnt a time and place for logs, but for the cleaning of a log you will only recieve 1 per log, not the other 1 per 20 lines of post. So its up to you and what you feel the need to do.

2) 2 points for every week you are a member of MM.

3) ST given Experience. On occassions, when one of the STs helps with a scene, extra exp might be handed out to some players for exceptional play. This extra experience should be sent in by that Genre ST to the player and the following SNs: WW MST of MM, and MM CS ST, so all the powers that be will be appraised of you recieving it.

Ok, now onto how to spend those earned Exps. We, here in Mortality Mocked have adapted the 3rd edtions method of spending exp. And what does that mean exactly to you the player? Well, it means that we go by NR or New Rating X the steady number. Steady number is the NR x "2". Example:

I wish to move from the second dot of dodge to the third.
That would be 3 (Level wanted) X 2 (Steady rating), so it would cost me 6 exps to reach it.

Remember, out of clan disciplines CANNOT exceed the level of in clan disciplines. So a Brujah with Fortitude can't have it at four, while he/she has Potence, Presence, or Celerity at one. This is as per book and, as ya see, the rules of Mortality Mocked.

The rest of the spenditure amounts all operate the same, and if you don't have the book and need a spending table to calculate what you need, please email MM CS ST.
