Morwa Lugi's DragonCrypt

Morwa Lugi's DragonCrypt is not a piece of art so much as
a piece of machinery.

It is designed to allow the components to be popped in and out alng the
creators assembly line to provide mass production of the "mini movie"

The cels are drawn over the same " mother cel" to allow quick creation
of new cels

Line art is avoided where possible, instead shadows and silohettes
are used. This s is a black and white world of wiggly lines and shifting blobs
of black and white

Its intended for easy add ons by amateurs

Sequences are connected by the "JOIN",which often is a simple
"snake" which makes for easy production of transition cels in a
PAINT program with no need for fancy drawing tablets.A wiggly action with the
mouse will do

Colour is avoided in order to allow easy modifications of cels

The cels are not "one off" unique pieces but are meant to be used
in a varirty of productions

Expressions are done by means of sound effects rather then actually drawing in
complex facial expressions which are difficult to duplicate

A frame speed of 2 to 4 fps is used rather then impractical speeds of
10 to 30 fps

Scenery and backdrops are generally nonexistent since this would give
that animation sequence a " one off" characteristic rather then a
"mass produced assembly line modular unit" characteristic

Hence most cels have figures.but no landscape or other objects in them

The "join " object allows everyone to modify a sequence easily

A " dragon to wolf" cel sequence would not be a "one off" unique art piece
but two "spokes" in a wagon wheel connected by a common "hub"
(dragon to snake module joined to snake to wolf module)

This use of modules allows for many more sequences then could be gotten
from a "one off" crafted piece.
