Ebony Beauty

Living in a shell that I call skin,
My Darker features similar to my kin.
Beautiful, clear, and smooth,
Like a slow, milky groove of jazz music
playing in the
background.
I have a cinnamon complexion, which is
the sound… of ebony
beauty, that is present at all times,
Like the smell of sweet limes on a summer
day.
My inner beauty shines… through like a
sweet, subtle ray… of
light exemplifying radiant shades of color
at the end of the night.
I am neither dark nor light… skinned in
my opinion; I am a sweet
Skinned sister with mixtures of brown and
creamy caramel that
makes me different.
Therefore, I am covered in a sweet, light
fragrance, which is my
own natural scent.
Not cherry, nor chocolate or mint, but the
scent… of ebony beauty.
