Remembered and Never Forgotten

I have seen the sky dotted with a celestial beauty beyond my grasp.
Awe struck, I’ve watched the nightly hours melt into dawn.
And one by one
The millions of mercury wishes
Cascade down into morning dew,
Dampening the world.
I’ve watched the earth hold its breath with me
As the night tries desperately to hold onto the glory of life.
But the razor sharp orange back hunched up on the horizon
And cut the gray hours
With its blinding brilliance.
She made the fallen wishes sparkle on the carpet of the sleepy existence,
Giving them a new promise,
And I, a beautiful memory.
