The original Moris Minor Mini, changed the face of motoring forever.
The brand new BMW made mini
The Mini Cooper, also know and the Morris Minor 7, Moris Minor, Mini, and the Cooper, was created in the late '50s in the search for a compact, fuel efficiant car.  and that it was.  The Mini was the very first car in the world to have a transversly mounted motor, that is, the motor was mounted sideways in the engine bay.
The mini saw its final car roll out in Germany in 2000 and at that time there have been over 5.3 MILLION Minis sold around the world.  Some of which were owned by the band the Beatles, some roylaty in England, and many other well know stars and musicians.  the Mini-skirt got its name from the Mini cooper, and now, after 50 years of almost the exact same exterieror stylings, it finally gets a facelift by BMW.  BMW has made the new mini not as a retro car as many of the new concept cars today, but rather as an updated version of the past model and you can tell in the two pictures.  the new Mini has a chassis that is 30 times more rigid than the 3 series BMW's, and almost the same suspention of the BMW line.  this car comes out soon, but i'm gonna have to wait till March to get mine...thats when they come out with the Mini S which is equiped with a supercharger to up its horsepower to a little over 160bhp.  and though that isnt much, the power to weight ratio of this car, coupled with its 6 speed manual transmition and BMW's active stability controll and ABS will make this a very fun oversized go-cart for the road.  i cant wait to get my hands on one....or one of the originals for that matter, which isnt that easy, there arnt many left in the US.  if you find one, get it and dont let it go.
The Mini, old and New
The Bugatti Veyron EB 18/6
ok, if i ever win the lottery, this is going to be the first car i buy.  It is the Bugatti EB 18/6 Veyron.  this car has the brand new VW made W-16 engine and has an estimated horsepower rating over over 1000 horses!
most of the time stats for this car are estimations cause there arnt many people that are willing to test such extremes, but with an estimated 0-60 time of 2.5 and an estimated top speed of over 260mph, this will be THE fastest production car availible on the planet (move over McLaren and Corvette).  of course you might ask, why would you need such speed?  well, you dont need that much speed, nor do you need a 8 passenger, V-8 powered gas hog of a Sport Utility Vehicle, but isnt it nice to know its there if you need it (or just want it)?  i dont even know if they are bringing this car to America (i doubt it), but if they do, and i win the lottery, you just might see my flying down your road some day.  But look fast, cause you wont see me for long, over 260mph, remember? eat my dust, if you can catch it....
my Acura.  A 88 Integra LS Special which had the gold rims to match the interior, a sportier suspension, and rear spoiler.  It had a 5 speed, close ratio manual transmition, DOHC, FI, and redlined around 7 or 8 thousand RPMs.  That car would just scream when you pushed it to its red line and to 130mph.  man i miss that car, but i killed it with my driving habbits...but i loved it anyway.
my 77 eldorado pig. had rust holes big enough to stick your hand (and arm, and head and body) up into the trunk through the rear quarterpanel.  Man i loved that car.  it didnt have the 500 engine, i missed that engine by one or two years i think, but i had the 425 in it which was scary enough.  since it was front wheel drive, it was a great first car to have, especially in the snowy climate of MN.  this car is 6 inches short of 19 feet long, now THAT is a land boat!
