This is one of my most favorite games! I have actually met one person that said they thought it sucked and was boring. They can no longer walk. Just kidding, but seriously, I wanted to kill him. Anywho, back to the review; This game kicked ass. From the haunting musical scores to the realistic personalities and wonderful storyline, I had a hard time putting the controller down for sleep and school. The music still invokes emotion from all that have played the game, and I find this especially true for the song from the City of the Anciets. Hell, the background song I have on my main page is from this game. I really connected to Cloud, our personalities have a lot in common, and what's scary is we even talk alike. That aside, the other characters are definetly lovable, hate-able, and everything inbetween. Though the beginning of the game while stuck in Midgar can be slow at times, once outside in the overworld this game takes an incredib turn into an awesome storyline. Things unfold into what you would not believe. Well, maybe you would, but whatever. Some people refuse to play this game because the "graphics suck ass." Yes, hello dipshit, this game was released in 1997. Of course the graphics can't compare to what we have now. FF7 was giant step in graphics in its day, especially the cut scenes. So get your shallow new gamer stick out of your ass, and play this game! Just because the graphics aren't the best doesn't mean the game isn't fun. One of the first games I ever played was Ball Blazer for the Atari. That game is as polygonal as you can get, but it still was a total blast! That aside, FF7 was an awesome game, I recommend it to anyone, even if you don't play RPGs, you should give this a try, it's just that awesome. -Tristaran |
