Now you can find out everything you always wanted (and didn't want) to know about my 1969 Pontiac Executive, lovingly named "Big P". For all of you people that ever worked hard to buy a car, restored a classic, or just found that perfect near-mint original vehicle of your dreams (as was the case with me), you know
what I mean! There's no other feeling than opening up the garage door and being able to seriously admire an organized collection of metal, glass, and vinyl (not all plastic like most cars today)! Okay, enough chatter, let's ride....
from what I've seen in classic car guides, the Executive was not manufactured by Pontiac in large numbers. It was built
during the 1965-1970 model years, as the "entry level" version of the Bonneville.
My Executive's trademark, along with other Pontiacs of its era, was the unmistakable "bird-nose" heading off the front grill. The body and exterior styling was very similar to the Bonneville (and not much further from the Catalina & Ventura models), with many mechanical features also shared by the Bonneville (one my favorite late-model Pontiacs - read more about that here).
If you have any more info on the Executive than what I have here, please let me know! (Thanks to Dan, Jordan, and some others who have already contributed greatly to my history knowledge of classic Pontiacs.)
