The carpet has all been cut to size and the pieces trial fitted. The whole lot will now be sewn up (by my mother-in-law!) and the edges that are visible will be bound with vinyl edging.

The petrol flap still needs tackling, but I at least have a drawing to work to now. The stainless air intake vent has arrived and I need to cut a hole in the bonnet to mount it.

Next things on the list:

  1. Buy some sheet metal, make the various boxes and brackets I need.
  2. Buy an electric fan from Ford Factors, also get some radiator hose
  3. Make the dash template, and subsequently cut the dash blank
  4. Order the instruments
