Poly 4x4 Suspension
After playing in the mud at the Mafeking Rover Park for VG ( a
Scouting Activity for Venturers aged 15 to 18) the brakes were
seriously worn. Seems that the mud was very abrasive and very good at
getting into everything! While the pads were being replaced the Jeep
Dealer suggested that the rear wheel cylinders needed to be replaced
as they were sticking. They sent me to Poly 4x4 to get non OEM
cylinders at half the price!
While I was there I asked about suspension, because my springs had
sagged to the extent that even a minor bump caused the suspension to
bottom out! They sold both Old Man Emu and springs they had a spring
manufacturer make to suit jeeps. I chose their spring system because
it would give me the right amount of lift. With Rancho shock
absorbers the result was an exceptional ride offering comfort with no
more bottoming out on small bumps. The price was reasonable (having
been doing the rounds to get quotes for suspension upgrades) and the
service excellent. They also found a problem with the heater box and
the catalytic converter and replaced those.
