July, 25th 2000:

Today on the SCREENSAVERS, Pat annd Leo will announce the computer they're going to give away.  The drawing (I'm told) will run till the 27th.  So get in there and and enter to win an awsome computer constructed by one of the fabulouse crew of THE SCREENSAVERS!  I'm sure it will be one HOT computer and that you won't want to miss this opportunity! As far as news updates, AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) supposedly announced that they will be releaseing  "The Sledgehammer!" at around the same time the Pentium-4 (code named "Wilamite") will be released.  "The Sledgehammer" will be using 64-bit archetecture.  Intel might have a run for there money when AMD whips out their weapon!  That's it for today.

Sept., 3rd 2000:

Hey! Sorry I haven't writen in a while.  I've been out setting up Linux on my mom's machine.  She LOVES it!  Anyway, THE SCREENSAVERS are having another giveaway, but it ends tomarro, so hurry up.  As far as news, ZDTV is changing they're name to TECHTV.  (Because they got bought by Vulcan Enterprises).  By the way, I have tried out the Linux OS, and have found it to be incredible!!!  I have the Linux Mandrake distribution that is designed fot newbies like myself.  I will eventually be haveing a Linux FAQ.  WindowsME (Millenium Edition) will be released in a few days.  It will start at $49 for the upgrade from Win98, and $89 for the upgrade from Win95.  The $49 upgrade will stop selling in 5-6 months. Nov. 2nd, 2000: Sorry for being gone so long, I've been moving.  It's my B-day today!  I have some great tech-news for all of you. First WindowsME has was released about 2 months ago (yes I stuped to get it).  It's alrite but for thoses of you really into Windows98, you might want to wait awhile till they release the "Whistler" version.  Chip manufacturer Intel has anounced that they will be droping many of they're RDRAM chipsets.  RDRAM is the super fast (super expensive) RAM that really doesn't make that big of a system performance difference.  Intel also said they would be releaseing the Pentium-4 sometime before the end of the year.  Well , that's about it for now.  Don't forget to checkout my new gaming section at www.oocities.org/verdigo4.geo/gamesandcars3.html Thanks!
