In television ratings, the Busch series moved past the Indy Racing League and into second place among motorsports circuits in 1998, trailing only Winston Cup. The Busch ratings were higher than those of the NHL, WNBA and the LPGA. Attendance at Busch races has increased 286 percent over the past 10 years, the largest increase of any auto racing circuit in North America. (1/26-CBS-Sportsline)
