For the first year or two after the SiR came out, they were selling
used with between 15 and 30,000 km for above new MSRP list price.
And they were selling at those prices.
In mid-2003, when most SiR's were at or near the 4 year old mark,
the rash of SiR's that hit the used car market did not seem to put a
very big dent in their resale value, as evidenced by the above ads.
Now at the beginning of 2005, prices are still holding at reasonable levels
compared to "regular" civics and simliar vehicles. A new Civic SiR is
expected next year. Only time will tell if 6th generation SiRs continue to
hold strong.
Honda's are known for holding their value, and due to its relatively low
production numbers, this particular model of Civic does even better.
