I'm not sure where I found this shot. This is a custom painted Saab hood. Artist: R. Crumb of Zap Comics fame. It doesn't surprise me that Saabs would appeal to Crumb--many would concede that a vintage Saab looks like it was drawn by the original hippy cartoonist. If you have additional information about this piece of art let me know. Given Crumb's current statis I'm not sure if this hood is hanging on a wall in an art museum or gracing the front end of a 95 or 96 somewhere in San Francisco. The worst thought is that the hood & car have gone to the knacker's shack and been crushed, parted or Ugh...repainted.

Recipe: Take 1 Saab 95, 1 torch, and a made gleam in the eye-- cut liberally (the first cut is the hardest). Eventually you get a Saab 95 1/2 pickup truck.
