THIS IS A SUBARU 360

This shows what the 360 sedans look like. I used the sedan because most of the 360s owned by are members are sedans.

Subaru 360s are in a class of automobiles that are known as "micro cars", which are quite small. The weight of the 360s range from 925 lbs. for the sedan to 1210 lbs. for the van. The dimensions of the sedan are: length; 117.9" width; 51.2" height; 53.1" and wheelbase; 70.9".

All of the 360s that were officially imported to the States have the same engine, which is; 360 cc.s, 2 cylinder, 2 cycle, oil injected, and air cooled with 25hp.. The model called the 360 Young SS, which was not imported here in the States, had dual carbs, chrome pistons, and reed valves for 36 HP. The pre 1964 360 engines were of the same displacement but had less horsepower and used premixed oil and gas. They reside in the rear of the vehicles, like the VW beetle,(old one), and Porsches. They are basically a snowmobile engine.

All 360s have 10" wheels with 2 piece rims with tubes. Mini Coopers also have 10" wheels.

They came in three main body styles, the sedans, vans, and pickups. The sedans came two different ways, white, regular, and yellow or red, the sport model. There are also less popular models that have been privatly imported. These include, station wagons, convertibles, utility sedans, and some one off models. Our members own some of these lesser known models.

This is a picture of the Subaru 360 Custom, (station wagon). These are one of the rarer models. A few of our members have these.

This is a picture of the Subaru 360 pickup. This particular one used to belong to our club president. He called it the "worlds smallest street legal firetruck".

This model was made here in the states by a company in Calif. for Malcolm Bricklin, the original importer of the 360. He had some sedans converted to these convertibles to help boost the sales. The idea did not work. There are a few members who still have these cars.

This is a Subaru 360 van that belongs to our club president, Ed Parsil in Arizona.
This is the original "minivan"!
