This Nissan Hardbody was brought to our shop to have the rear frame c-notch reconstructed. The previous attempt to notch the frame left the truck with no rear support and could cause the frame to sag behind notch. |
As you can see the previous attempt at a c-notch was not the correct way and could have resulted in a bent or sagging frame. (picture 2) | ![]() picture 2 |

One quick glance at the reconstructed c-notch and you can see the difference, (picture 3) the notch was reinforced and made slightly bigger to allow for the truck to sit lower when the rear air bags are deflated. |
Custom inboard mounted brackets were also made to accomodate the 1500lb mini air bags used to control the ride height in the rear of the nissan. (picture 4) | ![]() picture 4 |

We also had a chance to rework the front hydraulics while the truck was in our shop. The old setup had a coil over hydraulic suspension and a very poor ride. (picture 5) |
With a little adjusting and a coil under hydraulic setup in the front this hardbody has a better ride with less binding and wear on the cylinder. (picture 6) | ![]() picture 6 |

With the new c-notch, the relocated air bags and the coil under hydraulic front suspension this nissan can cruise in comfort and drag the frame at the drop of a dime! (picture 7) |
