Baleno has the looks and feel of a winner but Maruti hasn't been able to sell them in large numbers. The aggressive styling of the front flows on smoothly over the sleek body to blend seamlessly. Baleno is probably the best-equipped car in the market today. The list of standard fittings is very impressive. Some of the stand out ones is the rear defogger, third brake light, trunk lighting, rear safety belts and the very useful 'key-not-removed buzzer'. The car is very spacious by any standards; thankfully here is one car that provides ample legroom for the rear passengers. The spirit of the car is bottled in a highly responsive and fuel efficient 1590cc SOHC motor. Best of all, the price around the 6.5 lakhs mark is very competitive and has thrown the gauntlet to the competition. Baleno proves that the king of automobile scene in India was and is still Maruti.
