A Grand Day Out

Setting the alarm for 7:00am on a Sunday in February definately doesn't agree with me, but needs must. It's the Bristol Classic Bike Show at Shepton Mullet, and the threat of free tickets means an 8:30am departure from Corfe Mullen. The roads are wet but the skies clear and it's not freezing. Your club editor has decided to brave the pillion of my Guzzi so off we go nine of us on five bikes.

with an uneventful trip we arrive in time to collect our tickets and browse around the show. This is well up to the usual standard; old bikes, classics, modern, and lot's of tools, spares, etc for sale. Tom Banwell even won an award for his California.

The day flew by and it was time to set off home with sunny skies and dry roads. I can recommend Bobbi as a pillion passenger, you don't kow she's there (I nearly wasn't - Ed).

Please remember to contact John Quirk on 676855 or Rob Doyle (Guzzi Club) - 659526 or me and Val - 892110 on Friday or Saturday as most weekends there something happening even if it's not a DMEC event you will be most welcome.
