Paul's Run

January 9th started a very cold morning but in spite of this 20 bikes turned out for the club run. We headed off towards Blandford, with frost still evident in the fields, and on to Sturminster Mill for a fag or get yourself warm break, no one wanted to paddle in the river, are bikers getting soft?

The sports bike riders went ahead for a blast and met us at the 'top of the town car park' at Dorchester for a coffee, etc.

A challenge then presented itself, someone inadvertenly locked their keys in the tail cone of the bike and after trying various keys which all failed to fit someone very professionally slipped a hand in to retrieve them, won't ask what you do for a living!

Some members left us who had commitments in the afternoon and the rest set off to our lunch stop at the 'Frampton Arms' crossways near warmwell.

Now refreshed we headed towards Wareham across Worgret Heath and then onto Corfe Castle, turning left towards Studland.

On arriving near the ferry there was a large queue of cars waiting, but being nights of the road we went to the front to lead the assault on the main land.

The few remaining riders went onto Poole Quay for a hot chocolate to finish what i'm sure for most people was a very enjoyable day.

Many thanks to Paul for an excellent run, hope you will do another!

p.s. please can you show us a favorite route of yours.
