"As the best-selling prestige luxury coupe in the United States, Eldorado has
the highest owner loyalty of any coupe in the segment," said Edward Berger,
Eldorado brand manager. "With this mid-year model update we're making a
statement that, unlike some other competitors in this segment, the Eldorado is
here to stay."
The new ETC exterior ornamentation package provides Eldorado with a fresh look
more in-line with its target consumers. Updates include new body color inserts
on side and fascia moldings replacing chrome inserts; a new seven-spoke wheel
with a Cadillac wreath and crest center cap; new P235/60HR 16-inch tires; and a
new "ETC" decklid logo with a simplified design.
"For 46 years, Eldorado has appealed to independent people who want to make a
bold statement about themselves," said Berger. "While Eldorado continues to
embrace this rich heritage, its exterior design cue is distinct and
contemporary. Technological improvements, such as the optional massaging lumbar
seats and standard Bose entertainment system, help further define the
forward-looking Cadillac vision of art and science."
Production of the model year 1999 1/2 ETC is scheduled to begin in early
January and will be available to customers in March 1999.
