William Clinton (1992- )

The presidential limousine currently in use was delivered to the White House in 1993. Instead of just one vehicle, three identical limousines were built by Cadillac as part of the "Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham-Presidential Series." It provides more protection than any other presidential limousine to date, and, as an unfortunate consequence, offers far less visibility than other parade cars of the past. The car was built by Cadillac in cooperation with GM's Advanced Engineering staff. Body structure and special armoring systems were designed by Cadillac Engineering and built by GM's Parts Fabrication under Secret Service supervision. The car sits three inches higher than a standard Fleetwood Brougham. The exterior finish is black, while the interior is done up in a dark blue cloth-and-leather combination with genuine Zebrano wood accents. Wheelbase is an imposing 167.5 inches, and total length reaches 270 inches (nearly 23 feet).
