Pictured is Ronald Reagan's personal limousine, a stretch version of the factory manufactured limousine based on the Cadillac's Brougham d'Elegance. Reagan's limousine was longer than the stock limousine and it also featured a taller roof line (three inches more) and bullet-resistant windows. The Limousine was modified by O'Gara Hess and Eisenhardt. Car and Driver in their December 1987 issue tested an identical limousine. Their limousine was 267.3 inches long and it weighed in at 5963 pounds. Under the hood was Oldsmobiles 5.0-litre V-8 which produced 140 bhp and 255 ld-ft of torque. Zero to sixty and standing 1/4 mile both took 23.5 seconds and observed fuel economy was tested as 11 mpg. |
