British actress Minnie Driver has tonight revealed that she has become engaged to Daniel Kessler from Joy Divison tribute band Interpol. The 'Knowing me knowing you with Alan Patridge' star, who recently split with footballer boyfriend Thomas Brolin, was "ecstatic" according to her brother Daniel Driver. He said, "Minnie is making a great career pretending to be American, whereas Interpol are making one out of pretending to be English. Its a match made in heaven!"

Day Lewis' method madness

Daniel Day Lewis has been gearing up for his new role as a Deep Sea Trawler Fisherman. Day Lewis, who is famed for putting himself through arduous preparation before films, is set to play the charactor in the forthcoming film "Trawler Boys", which centers on a dangerous fishing expedition off the coast of Whitby.

Recognition for Meadows

'24:7' director Shane Meadows has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Meadows and his wife Juliet Binoche were both in attendance during the ceremony.

English Rose

As predicted previously on Pear Harbour, legendary Mancunian band The Stone Roses are to reform. Ian Brown, John Squire and Reni were recently reconciled at a Manchester United home game and have decided to work on a new album titled "About Fucking Time". However, bassist Mani is unwilling to leave Primal Scream so has been replaced by shit faced Kate Winslet, who previously played guitar with The Bluetones.

Dawson's Creek UK update

Tragedy has struck the new series of Dawsons Creek UK, the show where Dawson, Pacey and friends are placed in a Bedfordshire 6th form. The last episode saw Joey and Dawson getting shot dead after being described by fellow 6th formers as "irritating, over priveleged, miserable twats". The row started after the pair turned down an invitation to go and watch The Datsuns at the forthcoming NME awards show, saying instead that they prefered warbling female singers put to a sliouette of a lonely figure walking down a snowy deserted street.
