| What Mike Says: This is the vision That Joss Whedon had for Buffy. OK I know some of you can't get passed the title of the show. Which I understand. If you can't get passed the title , you are missing out some dark but at the same time fun story telling, about a girl who is the "Vampire Slayer."In every generation there a new Slayer to protect the world from Demons, Vampires! She alone can stop the forces of evil!! Its a great show!! Buffy can't really have a normal life like other teens. She is always on the look out for the evil to make itself known. Buffy has 4 or 5 close friends to help her! she even gets help from 2 vampires..Angel and Spike!! Angel loves Buffy and has a soul. which means he can't kill humans without feeling remorse, but Spike has no soul and is in love with her. Spike doesn't understand that killing humans is wrong or doesn't even care!! It's got comedy in it but not off the wall crap, Like you would see from the movie!! It has Gods, Witches, Demons, Vampires all trying to destroy the slayer!! The show also has heart and real life issues in it...Anti-suicide messages anti drug message and how friends even though with hard times can still love and watch each others backs!! It also deals with loosing friends and family members and how to move on....It's by no means a "message" show. they just slip it in without you really knowing !! Poor Buffy she can't go out with a normal guy...she always ends up falling in love with a vampire!! Even though the title of show may sound stupid or funny...take it from me it's not!! It's dark serious show with a touch of humor!! the thing I really love about the show is how they make vampires not stupid. Not Wearing capes and sleeping in coffins. They are basically like humans but can't come out in the sunlight and they talk normal...the only way to be sure it's a vampire is to when he vamps out. Which means his face turns evil before he kills!! The other thing I like about the show is...no vampire can enter a home without first being invited. Just like real demons!! I wish the show was still going but after 7 seasons it ended!! *crying* lol. Thank God I have All but one season to buy! I can watch buffy kick ass anytime I want!! So anyway Please try to get pass the title of the show..your missing out on some great story telling!! |
