| Ok this is how it's going to work. I'm going to break it down for you guys who still don't get the Widescreen vs. Standard issue. Ok This is the facts and nothing but the facts!! I hope this will help you decide on what type of style of movie you want..If you are starting a movie collection. |
| Look at the this photo at the bottom . This is from Star Wars.(my Favorite Movie) The photo at the left is Widescreen the one on the right is Standard (Fullscreen). Do you see the difference?? Yes in the Widescreen there are black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. That is normal...The thing is you see more of what the Artist wants you to see. The widescreen shot we see Jar Jar, Where as in the (Fullscreen) There is no Jar Jar. Where is he?? The Artist wouldn't of put him in the shot if he/she didn't want you to see it!! |
| Now look at this photo. Same thing here ...where Is Padme? Is Anakin talking to the air??? To me it's a very easy choice for me to say that widescreen is better. You get what the Artist wants you to see. The reason I call directors, artist is because that is what they are. Movies are a form of art...So they are artists. |
| One more time. I want you to make sure you understand....Can you just imagine if the Artist who painted the "Last Supper" cut out half of the disciples?? Instead of 12 you would only maybe find 3 at the most and look at the beautiful building you don't see that in the 2nd photo do you??? Now which is better!?!? |
| Now I'm not saying every movie should be in widesreen. Like Home Alone etc...but as far as Star Wars, Batman, Finding Nemo etc...Should be watched in widescreen. The Artist took a lot of money and time to put things in there movies that they want you to see...So why not see it?!? Now as far as T.V. Shows go...there made in Fullscreen...so there is no choice to be made when buying a Tv Season....Although some shows now are being made widescreen!! I think in one episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is in widescreen and I think it was the musical episode (My Favorite) It's funny seeing vampires sing and dance lol...Oops sorry off the subject!! |
