QiGong means "Energy Cultivation," and refers to a system of exercises which aim at improving health and longevity. The exercises consist of deep breathing coordinated with simple movements or stationary positions. These two combined bring on a relaxed state where troubles are washed away and replaced by increased confidence, increased energy, and enhanced spirit. The goal of QiGong is to increase the level of Qi, or life force, in the body through achieving a harmonious state free of pain and full of vigor.
